Braid Slay DETOX POWDER works well at cleaning my synthetic hairpieces. I just mix a few tablespoons in warm water and then soak the hair for about 20 minutes before rinsing out. This leaves my wigs and clips with a light citrus scent, and removes oily buildup. This powder can also be used on your natural hair braids or locs. There are some great ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, and green tea extract to help hydrate your hair. The powder comes in a 3 oz resealable foil packet, and there's enough powder for about 3-4 detoxes.

I would have to say this this product is better than most that I have used. Although I was expecting a more desirable scent, the citrus scent seems to be more effective at eliminating that musty smell in dirty dreds than other products I have use. However, the cleaning power behind this product left my hair dryer than usual. To its credit, the product does instruct to wash and condition your hair after use so I suspect other people may have a different result. Overall, the product is very good.
